Introduction of TKM2-EB30(B) (1)Scope of Application Our TKM2-EB30(B) series CBE* are hydraulic-magnetic mode actuate circuit protection devices. CBE can furnish the protection function against overload and short-circuit of circuit in many applications. They are ideal for data processing and business machines, medical instrumentation, telecommunication equipment, vending machines , UPS, military applications and whenever precision operation is required. * CBE is an abbreviation of circuit breaker for equipment. (2)Features By adopting the magnetic mode with oil pressure tripping device, the circuit protection device is able to come true during the occurrence of overload and short-circuit. The tripping characteristics of TKM2-EB30(B) series CBE are more stable and precise. The tripping only depends on the magnetic force generated from the current flowing through the coil ,effect of environmental temperature variation is not a concern. Therefore people need not to think about taking capacity-reducing measures even though the temperature is high. The tripping mechanism does not involve with a thermal sensor, it doesnt need to wait for the device cooling down,as long as the fault current disappears, the breaker can be resetting to the ON (closing) position immediately. The viscosity of liquid pressure oil is influenced by the ambient temperature, its viscosity becomes thick under the circumstances of low temperature. The delayed tripping time becomes longer, it is necessary to offer enough additional time while starting the cold state equipment. On the contrary,the viscosity becomes thin under the circumstances of high temperature, the delayed time becomes short, so the circuit breaker is able to trip quickly. It leads to protect against the circuit over-current regardless of ambient temperature. The feature with inverse time-delay is advantageous for the overload protection. The calibration of the circuit breaker is more precise. It has trip free feature to insure that the contacts are separated when fault occurs. Method of mounting:In case of one pole installation, only two screws are used for fastening CBE on the plate of the equipment. In case of two poles installation, four screws are required for mounting on the plate of the equipment. (5)Operation principle of hydraulic- magnetic tripping device By adoption of full magnetic mode with oil pressure tripping devices, the CBE carry out the tripping protection in the event of overload and short-circuit. The delayed tripping device employs an hydraulic-magnetic control with an oil dash pot. When over-current flow in the circuit, the magnetic force of the coil may overcomes the springs resistance, and the iron core will be moved toward the pole piece, subsequently pull down the armature and actuates the trip bar. In the case of short circuit, coil will generate extreme large magnetic force that instantly pull down the armature and make the trip. The delay of tripping can be caused by the viscosity of silicon oil. Once the tripping unit is actuated, the contacts will move apart and interrupt the circuit.
